Science Celebrations offer your class the opportunity to interact with regional businesses and STEAM practitioners as they showcase their own real-world experiences. With special partner programming stationed throughout the galleries, it’s the perfect chance to enhance your experience at Kentucky Science Center.

Brain Days

Part of Brain Awareness Week, it’s a Science Center full of great activities exploring the most complex part of our bodies.

Friday & Saturday, March 20-21

Join Kentucky Science Center educators, the Society for Neuroscience, University of Louisville’s Department of Anthropology, and other local scientists & health professionals to celebrate “Brain Awareness Week!” Explore the many exciting careers that study the nervous system, and gain a greater appreciation for the incredible organ that powers your body and mind. Want to see something you have never seen before? This is your chance!

Fun hands-on activities include building a model neuron, building a brain hat, looking at brains of different types of animals, using microscopes to explore spinal cord sections, hacking your nervous system, learning about the effects of spinal cord injuries, and so much more!

Dog Days

Learn how animals and humans work together to make the world around us better. Interact with working dogs from a variety of fields and adoptable pets of many types.
