Kentucky Science Center is open 7 days a week from 9:30AM to 5:00PM except for the following days:

- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Eve
- Christmas Day
- Saturday, January 25, 2025; Celebration of Science
- Thunder Over Louisville (open at 2PM for ThunderBlast ticket holders only, April 12, 2025)
- Kentucky Derby (1st Saturday in May)

Code of Conduct
Please take a moment to read our guest Code of Conduct in advance of your visit. All guests will be asked to follow this standard of behavior while Doing Science with us.
Parking
Our parking area is located directly behind Kentucky Science Center, at the intersection of River Road and Eighth Street, under I-64. Parking is $15 daily. Science Center members enjoy a discounted $8 rate. Our parking kiosk accepts credit/debit cards only. Visitors with cash may pay for their parking at Kentucky Science Center before exiting.
Bus Parking
School and charter buses are welcome to pick up and unload passengers at the front of the Kentucky Science Center building on Main Street. From there, bus drivers can find on-street parking just a little farther down Main Street, or on 9th, 10th, or 11th Streets.

Directions
Kentucky Science Center is located at 727 West Main Street, on the corner of 8th and Main Streets.
From 64 West:
Take 3rd Street/River Road exit, EXIT 5B toward Downtown.
A right on River Road will lead you to our Parking Lot.
From 64 East:
Take the 9th Street/Roy Wilkins Ave exit, EXIT 4, toward Downtown.
Keep left to take the Market Street ramp.
Turn left onto Market Street.
Turn left onto 7th Street.
Turn left onto West Main Street, and KSC will be on your right. From Main Street, you can take a right on 9th street, taking a right onto the street behind the Frazier to reach our parking lot on the left at the following intersection.

Additional Policies
Strollers
For the convenience of our guests, we recommend leaving strollers at home or in the car when possible. For families that require a stroller, Kentucky Science Center offers limited strolled parking in our atrium, outside our 4-story theater, and in other designated exhibit areas. Valuables should not be left unattended in strollers. Due to space restrictions, wagon-style strollers are not permitted at Kentucky Science Center.
Unaccompanied Minors
- Visitors aged 17 and under must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or chaperone age 18 or older at all times.
- Select groups, including but not limited to, volunteers or school field trips may be exempt from this policy as these groups have pre-established chaperone policies.
Photography
During your visit, Kentucky Science Center and/or the media may take photos or video to be used by Kentucky Science Center or its designees. If you are photographed at Kentucky Science Center, your image may be used without your prior consent and without compensation on any media, including websites, brochures, flyers, blogs, social media sites and the like. If you do not want your image used, please inform the Ticket Desk staff upon check-in.
Guests are encouraged to take personal photos or videos during your visit. Professional photographers/videographers or anyone who would like to use photos or footage of Kentucky Science Center exhibits, programs, or events for commercial, public, or artistic purposes should contact Taylor U’Sellis, Senior Manager of Marketing & Communications at Kentucky Science Center at [email protected] or 502-560-7153 at least 10 days in advance of your visit to secure appropriate permissions.
Weapons
Firearms and other deadly weapons are strictly prohibited at Kentucky Science Center.
