Kentucky Science Center’s annual Dog Days event is back on May 13th and 14th and better than ever. This family favorite gives kids a chance to explore the ways dogs – and other animal friends, too! – are trained to help improve our lives both on the job and off. Stop by to meet some amazing creatures from a variety of animal care careers, then spend time exploring your Kentucky Science Center.
Dog Days guests will have the chance to interact with working animals from around the city, alongside local animal rescue organizations. Partners in attendance will include the Arrow Fund, Jefferson County Search Dog Association, Second Chance Wildlife, the Herpetological Society, PG&J’s Dog Bar, Alley Cat Advocates, and local canine celebrity Ethan Almighty.
“When you visit during a Kentucky Science Center science celebrations like Dog Days, you get a really exciting bang for your buck,” says Kentucky Science Center Education Coordinator Virginia Hoyt, who oversees the event. “Not only can you experience everything our 50,000 square feet of fun has to offer, you also get a chance to explore the science of animal careers from both the people who train them and the animals themselves.”
Kentucky Science Center’s Dog Days will happen from 10AM – 2PM on Friday, May 13th and Saturday, May 14th, 2022. All Dog Days activities are free with your Kentucky Science Center general admission. Advance tickets are recommended. Secure your spot by visiting kysciencecenter.org/visit.
