Digital Membership Cards

Your Kentucky Science Center membership has gone digital! You can access your digital membership card through a smartphone app, or download and save it to your digital wallet. Not only is a digital membership card more environmentally friendly and makes it easy to access your card on the go.

Your digital membership card (and a photo ID) is all you’ll need for entry to Kentucky Science Center throughout the year, and can be used to access guest and movie passes during your visit. Additionally, your Kentucky Science Center digital membership card is accepted at more than 350 reciprocal museums and science centers around the world.

Access your digital membership card in five easy steps:

  1. Search for “eMembership Card” in your app store and download the application to your device.
  2. Open the app and allow location access. This will ensure that the closest museums to your location will appear first.
  3. Click on the Kentucky Science Center logo.
  4. Click “Find My Membership Cards” and enter your membership number. Your membership number can be found on your existing membership card or your membership welcome email.
  5. Verify your membership information and click “Download my cards”.

If you have recently renewed your membership and had downloaded membership cards in the past, your cards will not update automatically. Following the “Find My Membership Cards” prompt should download your updated cards.

What are digital membership cards?

Kentucky Science Center began offering digital membership cards, which can be downloaded and saved to your smartphone, beginning in August 2022. Using digital membership cards is more environmentally friendly as it cuts down on paper and plastic waste, and it means you never have to worry about forgetting your membership card at home. After joining or renewing your Kentucky Science Center membership, you will receive an email within two weeks with a link to download your digital card.

How will I use my digital membership card?

Your digital membership card is unique to your membership and displays your name, membership level, expiration date and a unique barcode. Simply show your digital membership card to our staff at the Ticket Desk or Gift Shop to take advantage of your member benefits!

I have a Dual Membership. Will I still need to get a membership card from the Zoo?

Yes. Please visit the Zoo’s membership office on your first visit after purchasing your membership. The Zoo will print your membership card or help you download their digital membership card. For Zoo specific questions, please email [email protected].

How will my reciprocal benefits work when visiting other organizations?

Digital membership cards display the reciprocal logo(s) and list participation in the reciprocal programs as a benefit of the membership level. Simply show your digital membership card at participating institutions to receive free or reduced admission. You can also find links to reciprocal lists in the eMembership Card app.

If the reciprocal organization has trouble with the logos on the card being too small, you can simply click on the logos and it will pull up a separate screen that shows the reciprocal networks that are applicable to your membership. If you have saved your cards to your Google/Apple wallet, you’ll just need to click on the 3 dots in the top right to see a list of your applicable reciprocal networks.

My membership includes guest and/or movie passes. How do I use those?

Your guest and/or movie passes are stored in the eMembership Card app. To locate your guest passes, you’ll just need to click on Membership Benefits and then Guest Passes. Movie passes can be found under Coupons. To use your passes, just pull those up before you get to the ticket desk and let us know you’d like to use them on your visit.

Do I still need to show my picture ID at the ticket desk when checking in?

Yes. The safety of our members is very important to us, and we want to ensure that no one else is using your membership benefits.

There is more than one adult named on my membership. How do they access their membership card?

All adults named on the membership will be able to download a digital membership card following the same process. They will need your membership number or phone number to locate the membership card and will be required to show photo ID at check-in.

There is an error on my membership card. How can I fix it?

Our apologies. Just email us the correct information and we’ll get it updated.

I renewed or made changes to my membership, but my membership card hasn’t been updated. How do I fix this?

To get your new membership card, simply click “Find My Membership Cards” and complete that process again, including downloading your new membership cards.

I downloaded my card, but now I can’t find it. Where did it go?

Simply search in your app library for “eMembership Card”. You can also add your card to your Apple or Google Wallet after downloading but will still need to use the eMembership Card app for your other membership benefits.
