Kentucky Science Center Announces 2021 Science Ambassadors

During Women’s History month, Kentucky Science Center is proud to honor seven women with this year’s Science Ambassador Award, presented by LG&E and KU Foundation. The annual award is given to individuals and organizations for their work in the community towards fostering and promoting science literacy to people of all ages. This year’s honorees are:

“Each of these inspiring women have made a lasting impact on Louisville, Kentucky, and the surrounding area. We are very proud to recognize their efforts,” said Mike Norman, Chief Executive Officer for Kentucky Science Center. “With more focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math, the youth of today need to see women in successful careers in these roles.”

The awards are normally given during Science with a TWIST, Kentucky Science Center’s annual fundraiser, which was canceled this year due to the pandemic. The event raises money to support the Center’s mission of encouraging people of all ages to Do Science in engaging, educational, and entertaining ways to inspire a lifetime of learning.
