KENTUCKY SCIENCE CENTER INVITES MOVIEGOERS TO JOURNEY TO THE HEART OF AFRICA WITH NEW MOVIE, “SERENGETI”
July 1st, 2024
LOUISVILLE, KY, JULY 1st – Kentucky Science Center’s Theater has taken viewers around the world and beyond the stars; from the vast beauty of the Galapagos Islands to the prehistoric time of the dinosaurs, from the depths of the Pacific Ocean to the future of our world’s cities. Now, Kentucky Science Center is ready to journey with viewers to Africa. Serengeti: Journey to the Heart of Africa opens on July 4th in Science Center’s 4-story theater.
Join Kentucky Science Center on a stunning journey to the untamed wilds of Africa as you come face-to-face with the iconic animals who call it home. Incredible cinematography takes viewers inside lion prides, beneath the hooves of thundering wildebeests and just out of reach of snapping crocodile jaws for an intimate look into a sprawling world unchanged by the passage of time.
Kentucky Science Center’s 4-story theater provides the perfect backdrop for the sprawling beauty of the Serengeti as storm clouds roll overhead, lush green savanna stretches out around you and towering cliffs give way to the massive caldera of volcanoes.
“Our 4-story theater is phenomenal for its ability to make you feel as if you are there, totally immersing you in the incredible places stretching out in front, above and beside you,” said Mike Norman, CEO of Kentucky Science Center. “In Serengeti, that means you’re right there alongside elephants lumbering by or lions stalking through a wildebeest herd.”
See one of the world’s greatest environments through the eyes of its inhabitants, including the youngest members of the animal tribes as they imitate their parents and learn about the mighty roles they’ll play. The film showcases a perfect symphony in which every species has a distinct role in a larger story – the balance of an entire ecosystem. Serengeti proves the circle of life remains timeless.
