Donation Requests

Donation Requests

Organizations designated 501(c) (3) not-for-profit (charities, church, school, or community resource centers, etc.) are eligible to receive a donation from the Kentucky Science Center for the purpose of raising money for charitable and educational programs.

What is donated?

We offer a monthly, standard donation of two admission passes to our permanent exhibit galleries, at a
total value of $26.00, to up to twenty organizations upon a “first come, first serve” basis. Financial
contribution requests will not be considered. Priority will be given to those organizations that align with
our mission. Staff currently employed by Kentucky Science Center may apply for a donation request, but
only one employee applicant a year will be accepted. If specified, admission passes can be used as
raffles, auction items or as reward incentives for fundraising teams or school achievement.

How do I request a donation?

All donation requests must be mailed to the following address:

Required donation request materials include:
  • Organization name
  • Contact information, including mailing address and phone number
  • Proof of non-profit status
  • Date of event, if applicable
  • A description summary of how the donation will be used, if accepted
    • Specify in description summary if donation gift will be used as auction prize, raffle, or
      reward incentive.

We ask that you submit your request two months prior, or earlier, to your event date. Please allow four to six weeks for processing. Notice, along with donated gift, will only be sent to those approved applicants.
