Visitor Services Representative – Part Time
Visitor Services Representatives are the first contact our guests have at the Kentucky Science Center. A friendly demeanor and glowing attitude are a must. Successful candidates for this entry level position will have at least a High School Diploma, prior retail cash handling and service experience, the ability to work a flexible schedule and a desire to support informal education. Educator I – Part Time
This position is responsible for presenting educational programs, classes and activities to Science Center visitors with emphasis on school and group field trip audiences from public, private, home schools, and day cares. This isn’t your everyday, run-of-the-mill science club. We meet one Sunday afternoon a month and let participants drive the program. You pick books and articles, plan experiments, and lead discussions about relevant science topics. Past topics include zombies, science fiction, and robotics. (Themes: to be determined a month prior.) Appropriate for students entering grades 6-8.
