Camp Lead – Summer Position
The Kentucky Science Center is seeking a seasonal Onsite/Offsite Camp Lead for our summer 2015 School’s Out Science Camp program. The Camp Lead will play a vital role in the day to day management of camp. The Camp Lead will work closely with the Coordinator of Fee-Based and Catalyst Programs and Manager of Fee-Based and Offsite Initiatives to ensure the daily coordination of the School’s Out Science Camp program. This will include attaining knowledge of the camp policies and procedures, Kentucky Science Center exhibits, and supply locations. Camp Supply Assistant – Summer Position
The Kentucky Science Center is seeking a seasonal Camp Supply Assistant for our summer 2016 School’s Out Science Camp program. Offsite Camp Counselor – Summer Position
The The Kentucky Science Center is seeking seasonal Camp Counselors for our summer 2016 Offsite School’s Out Science Camp program. Camp Counselors ensure that campers experience a stimulating and fun learning environment at the Kentucky Science Center’s offsite camps in the classroom, while in our exhibits, and on any field trips. Camp Counselors will assist Teachers with lesson plans and activities, help maintain a safe and functional classroom, and work closely with children of all ages. Offsite Camp Teacher – Summer Position
The Kentucky Science Center is seeking seasonal Teachers with an enthusiasm to “Do Science!” for our summer 2016 School’s Out Science Camp program. Teachers ensure that campers experience a stimulating and fun learning environment at the Kentucky Science Center’s offsite camps. Teachers will facilitate all lesson plans and lesson extensions (provided by the Kentucky Science Center) for a class of up to 25 students. Teachers will exercise the engineering design process, inquiry-based learning, and other best practices in conjuncture with the provided curricula. Additionally, teachers will provide professional development opportunities for and guidance to camp counselors and all volunteers in the classroom.

Visitor Services Representative – Part Time
Visitor Services Representatives are the first contact our guests have at the Kentucky Science Center. A friendly demeanor and glowing attitude are a must. Successful candidates for this entry level position will have at least a High School Diploma, prior retail cash handling and service experience, the ability to work a flexible schedule and a desire to support informal education. Visitor Services Representatives work in areas including Ticket Desk, Gift Shop, Concessions, Advanced Sales, Theater, and Membership Sales.

Educator I – Part Time
This position is responsible for presenting educational programs, classes and activities to Science Center visitors with emphasis on school and group field trip audiences from public, private, home schools, and day cares. Educator of Integrated Science and Technology – Part Time
This position is responsible for facilitating and assisting with the development and implementation of Technology and Maker program offerings throughout the education department. He/She will be expected to perform in a variety of settings that includes classes, labs, outreaches, afterschool programs, camps, demonstrations and science expos. Space Flight Educator I – Part-Time
This part time position is responsible for primarily presenting space educational programs at the Challenger Learning Center (CLC) located at the Academy @ Shawnee and assisting in our simulated space missions.  This position will also assist in the educational programs, classes and activities to KSC visitors.  Click here to download full job description.

Surface Specialist – Part-Time
The The surface specialist ensures that all exhibits are clean, and that includes any manipulatives, graphics, cabinetry and the like attached to an exhibit. It also includes exhibit hall scenery, props, sets and other thematic elements such as banners, wall hangings, foliage that comprise the scenery for the exhibit hall. The surface specialist will also restock exhibit consumables as required per exhibit.
