Educator I – Part Time
This position is responsible for presenting educational programs, classes and activities to Science Center visitors with emphasis on school and group field trip audiences from public, private, home schools, and day cares. Offsite Program Demonstrator – Part Time
The Offsite Program Demonstrator engages visitors of all ages in educational and entertaining offsite programmatic capacity. This role will primarily focus on our mobile van programs such as Captain Current vs The Electricity Vampires and Ion Jones. Educators will be expected to teach in a variety of settings that includes but is not limited to assemblies, outreaches, after school programs, demonstrations and science expos. This role also includes maintenance and coordination of supplies, offsite logistics, volunteer training, correspondence, set-up and/clean-up, and outreach facilitation. This role may involve traveling and overnight stays. This role will work directly with education staff, volunteers and department managers to ensure that the program participants have an engaging and educational experience.
