Visitor Services Representative – Part Time
Visitor Services Representatives are the first contact our guests have at the Kentucky Science Center. A friendly demeanor and glowing attitude are a must. Successful candidates for this entry level position will have at least a High School Diploma, prior retail cash handling and service experience, the ability to work a flexible schedule and a desire to support informal education. Visitor Services Representatives work in areas including Ticket Desk, Gift Shop, Concessions, Advanced Sales, Theater, and Membership Sales.

Educator I – Part Time
This position is responsible for presenting educational programs, classes and activities to Science Center visitors with emphasis on school and group field trip audiences from public, private, home schools, and day cares. Education Ambassador – Part Time
This part time position is responsible for onsite facilitation on the exhibit floors including, but not limited to way-finding, restaging exhibit components, assisting with prep of shows, programs, and demos; and facilitating questions related to exhibits and programming. The Floor Ambassador will participate weekly in a series of training modules facilitated by the Education floor staff in order to train on exhibit and floor facilitation.

Offsite Camp Lead Summer 2017 – Part Time/Seasonal
The Kentucky Science Center is seeking a seasonal Offsite Camp Lead for our summer 2017 Offsite School’s Out Science Camp program. The Camp Lead will play a vital role in the day to day management of offsite camp. The Camp Lead will work closely with the Offsite Programs Coordinator to ensure the daily coordination of the Offsite School’s Out Science Camp program. This will include traveling to offsite camps, attaining knowledge of the offsite camp policies and procedures, communicating with parents in an offsite setting, and aiding in the preparation of offsite camps. Additionally, the Camp Lead will work closely with all Offsite Camp Teachers and Offsite Counselors each day to maintain our high caliber camp/operations.

Offsite Camp Teacher Summer 2017 – Part Time/Seasonal
The Kentucky Science Center is seeking seasonal Offsite Camp Teachers with an enthusiasm to “Do Science!” for our summer 2017 School’s Out Offsite Science Camp program. Offsite Camp Teachers ensure that campers experience a stimulating and fun learning environment outside of Kentucky Science Center. Offsite Camp teachers will be required to travel and possibly stay in counties across the state to lead camp classrooms. Teachers will facilitate all lesson plans and lesson extensions (provided by Kentucky Science Center) for a class of up to 25 students. Offsite Camp Teachers will exercise the engineering design process, inquiry-based learning, Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), and other best practices in conjuncture with the provided curricula. Additionally, teachers will provide professional development opportunities for and guidance to Offsite Camp Counselors and all volunteers in the classroom.

Offsite Camp Counselor Summer 2017 – Part Time/Seasonal
The Kentucky Science Center is seeking seasonal Camp Counselors for our summer 2017 Offsite School’s Out Science Camp program. Camp Counselors ensure that campers experience a stimulating and fun learning environment at the Kentucky Science Center’s Offsite Camps in the classroom. Offsite Camp Counselors will need to travel and stay in a variety of counties across the state of Kentucky. They will assist Teachers with lesson plans and activities, help maintain a safe and functional classroom, and work closely with children of all ages.
