Pulse of Surgery

Get an insider’s view of the O.R. by streaming a real-time heart surgery from Jewish Hospital, a part of KentuckyOne Health.

Pulse of Surgery is a one-of-a-kind experience that gives participants an up-close and personal view of the scope of careers in medicine, healthy living, and human anatomy. Grades 7th-12th.
View the program from our facility in downtown Louisville, or from your school! A Kentucky Science Center Educator travels to your school to facilitate Pulse of Surgery–call us to find out when we’ll be in your area.
Note: Pulse of Surgery is a live, real-time surgery. There are occasions when a live surgery is unable to be scheduled for broadcast dates. In that unusual event, Kentucky Science Center will facilitate another Pulse of Surgery-related program.

Price

  • At Kentucky Science Center: $10 per student (minimum of 30 participants required; space is limited)
  • At your facility: $875 flat fee, plus mileage; no limit on participants
